  • Sirat Ibn Ishaq

    “Thus the total number of Muslims, emigrants, and Helpers who were at Badr and were allotted a share in the booty was 314, the emigrants providing 83, Aus 61, and Khazraj 170.”

    “He stayed behind on account of his wife Ruqayya the apostle's daughter, so the apostle assigned him his portion.”

    Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah (Guillaume), Badr roster, on Uthman ibn Affan RA. The same roster gives Talha RA and Sa'id ibn Zayd RA shares while away in Syria, and Abu Lubaba RA a share after being sent back to govern Madinah.

    “They replied, 'Murara bin Ar-Rabi Al- Amri and Hilal bin Umaiya Al-Waqifi.' By that they mentioned to me two pious men who had attended the Ghazwa (Battle) of Badr, and in whom there was an example for me.”
