Umayr ibn al-Humam RA

Umayr ibn al-Humam RA was a Companion martyred at Badr in 2 AH. When the Prophet ﷺ called the Muslims to a Jannah as wide as the heavens and the earth, Umayr, who was eating dates, asked to be among its people and was told he was. Declaring that living long enough to finish his dates would be too long a life, he threw them away and charged into the enemy.
