سَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيفٍ
Sahl ibn Hunayf RA was a Companion who shared the anguish of the Muslims at Hudaybiyyah, which he remembered as "the Day of Abu Jandal." Decades later at Siffin in 37 AH, trying to calm Muslims lined up to fight one another, he told them to blame their own opinions before the Qur'an and Sunnah, since he himself would have rejected the Prophet ﷺ's decision that day had he been able, yet the treaty proved a great victory.
