معاذ بن جبل
Mu'adh ibn Jabal RA was one of the noblest Companions of the Ansar, deeply loved by the Prophet ﷺ, who paired him in brotherhood with Ja'far ibn Abi Talib RA. He marched to Tabuk in 9 AH, where he defended Ka'b ibn Malik RA's reputation and, riding alone beside the Prophet ﷺ, asked what would bring him into Jannah, receiving a famous answer on the pillars of the religion. Toward the end of 9 AH or early 10 AH the Prophet ﷺ sent him to Yemen as deputy and judge, walking beside him out of Madinah, advising him to make things easy and call people first to the Oneness of Allah, and telling him, "By Allah, I love you, O Mu'adh," and that perhaps he would not see him again.
