سَعْد بن أَبي وقاص
Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas RA was one of the earliest Muslims, brought to Islam by Abu Bakr RA at about sixteen, and a relative of the Prophet ﷺ through his mother's side. He held firm when his mother starved herself to force him back to idolatry. He was the first to shoot an arrow in the path of Allah, fought beside the Prophet ﷺ in his battles, and stood by him at Uhud when few remained. He was one of the six Companions whom Umar RA named to the council to choose the next caliph.

وَإِن جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰ أَن تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا
“If they try to force you to worship idols, don't listen to them. But be good to them in this world.”
This is the well-known asbab al-nuzul: revealed after Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas RA's mother tried to starve herself into forcing him to abandon Islam -- commanding him to remain firm in tawhid while still treating her kindly.
