عبد الله بن عمرو بن حرام
Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Haram RA was a Companion of the Ansar, known as a famous warrior and the father of Jabir ibn Abdillah RA, one of the most prolific narrators of hadith. As the Muslims marched out to Uhud in 3 AH, Abdullah ibn Ubayy turned back toward Madinah with his followers. Abdullah ibn Amr rode after him and said, "I remind you to fear Allah, and not leave your Prophet ﷺ or the people at this time when the enemy is about to attack. Did you not promise him that you would protect him and defend him like you defend your own families?", recalling the pledge that bound the people of Madinah. Ibn Ubayy replied that if they had known there would be a fight they would have stayed, but they did not believe the enemy would attack.
