Bishr ibn al-Bara RA

Bishr ibn al-Bara RA was a Companion at Khaybar in 7 AH who ate from the poisoned lamb presented to the Prophet ﷺ after the conquest. The Prophet ﷺ stopped everyone, saying the meat had told him it was poisoned, but Bishr had already swallowed some and died days later. Ibn al-Qayyim reconciled the reports on the woman's fate: the Prophet ﷺ forgave her wrong against himself, but she was executed in retaliation for Bishr.
