Abdullah ibn Suhayl ibn Amr RA was the elder son of Suhayl ibn Amr who accepted Islam in secret, marched out with the Quraysh to Badr in 2 AH and, when the armies camped at Badr, fled to the Muslims and fought on their side. His brother Abu Jandal RA followed him into Islam. At the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH he obtained the Prophet ﷺ's protection for his father.
