About a month after Badr, Abu al-As ibn al-Rabi' was freed from captivity on condition that he send his wife Zaynab bint Muhammad ﷺ back to her father. Hind bint Utbah visited Zaynab under the guise of offering to help her pack, hoping she would betray her plans and remain in Makkah as a hostage; Zaynab, sensing something was wrong, did not confide in her. Zaynab's brother-in-law Kinana openly led her out of Makkah by camel in daylight, and a Qurashi party led by Habbar ibn al-Aswad ibn al-Muttalib caught up with them; Habbar thrust a spear at the camel, which reared and threw Zaynab 15 feet to the ground, and she miscarried. Kinana stood over her and drove the party back at swordpoint until Abu Sufyan ibn Harb arrived and calmed the situation, promising Zaynab would leave quietly at a later, less public time. Some days later, Kinana took her out again by night and handed her to two Companions sent by the Prophet ﷺ, who brought her safely to Madinah.
Outcome: Zaynab miscarried from the fall but was eventually brought safely to Madinah.
