The Freeing of Salman al-Farisi

Salman al-Farisi, then enslaved in Madinah to a man of Banu Qurayza, agreed with his master to be freed in exchange for planting more than 100 date-palm seedlings and waiting for them to bear fruit, ordinarily a wait of 15 years or more. Salman told the Prophet ﷺ of the arrangement, and the Prophet ﷺ told him, "Call me when the season comes." When the season arrived, the Prophet ﷺ personally planted every single seedling himself, and by his barakah they all grew to fruit within a few years, and Salman was freed.
