The Prophet ﷺ intentionally held Hasan RA throughout a khutbah and said of him, "This son of mine is a sayyid, and a day will come when he shall cause reconciliation between two large groups of Muslims."
This was fulfilled when, after Ali RA's assassination, Hasan RA was given bay'ah as the fifth khalifa and later abdicated to Muawiyah to avert further war between Muslims.
