A Physician Seeks to "Cure" the Prophet ﷺ and Converts

Having heard Abu Jahal and Abu Lahab warning that Muhammad ﷺ had gone mad, a physician resolved to go and cure him of his affliction. He told the Prophet ﷺ he had heard he was afflicted with madness or possession and offered to treat him. The Prophet ﷺ told him he was not mad, and asked him to listen to his message, reciting the khutbat al-hajah. The man, struck by its beauty, asked him to repeat it, then (similar to the later encounter of Amr ibn Abasah al-Sulami) asked a series of questions, and upon receiving convincing answers, embraced Islam.
