Ja'far ibn Abi Talib RA

Ja'far ibn Abi Talib RA, Dhu al-Janahayn, "the One With Two Wings", was a cousin of the Prophet ﷺ and elder brother of Ali RA, whom the Prophet ﷺ said resembled him most in appearance and manners. An early convert, he led the Muslim emigrants in Abyssinia, where his speech before the Najashi secured their protection, and he returned to Madinah after more than a decade, at the time of Khaybar. He was martyred commanding the army at Mu'tah in 8 AH, and the Prophet ﷺ said Allah had given him two wings in Jannah in place of the arms he lost. His wife was Asma bint Umays RA.
