Umara RA

Umara was the daughter of Hamzah ibn Abd al-Muttalib RA and Salma bint Umays, and a niece of Asma bint Umays RA. As the Muslims left Makkah after Umrah al-Qada in 7 AH, the young girl ran after the Prophet ﷺ begging not to be left among the pagans. Ali RA, Zayd ibn Harithah RA and Ja'far RA each claimed the right to care for Hamzah's daughter, and the Prophet ﷺ gave her to Ja'far, in the care of her aunt Asma.
