عَاتِكَة بنت عبد المطّلب
Atikah bint Abd al-Muttalib was an aunt of the Prophet ﷺ, full sister of his father Abdullah, and mother of Zuhayr ibn Abi Umayyah and Abdullah ibn Abi Umayyah RA; she was said to often see true dreams. Three days before news came in 2 AH that Abu Sufyan's caravan was threatened, she dreamt of a crier calling the Quraysh to their deaths and a rock shattering over every house in Makkah, and the dream spread despite al-Abbas's efforts to keep it secret. The march to Badr followed. Whether she accepted Islam is uncertain: Ibn Sa'd says she did, but Ibn Ishaq names Safiyyah RA as the only aunt to do so.
