Sa'id ibn Zayd RA, son of Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl and one of the Ashara Mubasharun, once asked the Prophet ﷺ what his father's fate would be in the akhirah, given that he had died before Islam yet had never worshiped an idol. The Prophet ﷺ told him his father would be resurrected on the Day of Judgment as his own ummah. Later, on returning from al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj, the Prophet ﷺ told Sa'id that he had seen his father in Jannah, blessed with not one but two Gardens.
Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl is described as a one-man ummah, the only ummah in history without a prophet of its own, showing that Allah rewarded his sincerity even though he died before Islam was preached.
