يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
“O Prophet! Why do you prohibit [yourself] from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives?”
This is the specific asbab al-nuzul per Sahih al-Bukhari: this ayah, on the Prophet ﷺ forbidding himself something lawful to please his wives, was revealed about this honey incident.
