Sa'ya was a man of Banu al-Nadir, described as the uncle or brother of Huyayy ibn Akhtab. After the conquest of Khaybar in 7 AH, when its people were bound to hand over their gold, he claimed Huyayy's treasure had all been spent. The Prophet ﷺ handed him to al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam RA, and he soon revealed the valley where the gold was hidden.
