مَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الحَارِثِ
Maymunah bint al-Harith al-Hilaliyah RA was the last woman the Prophet ﷺ married and the last of his wives to pass away. She was a sister of Umm al-Fadl, wife of al-Abbas, a half-sister of Zaynab bint Khuzayma RA, and through their mother a sister of Asma bint Umays RA. A widowed Muslim still living among the Quraysh, she asked Umm al-Fadl to find her a husband, and al-Abbas arranged her marriage to the Prophet ﷺ during Umrah al-Qada in 7 AH. Whether he was in ihram at the time is a well-known question in fiqh; she herself said he was not. The marriage was consummated at Sarif outside Makkah, where she died in 51 AH and is buried.
