Hanzala ibn Abi Sufyan was a son of Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, killed fighting for the Quraysh at Badr in 2 AH, where his brother Amr was taken prisoner. Abu Sufyan refused to ransom Amr, saying the Muslims could not expect his money as well as his blood.
