أم حبيبة
Umm Habiba
Umm Habibah Ramlah bint Abi Sufyan RA was a Mother of the Believers and the daughter of Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, the most powerful man in Makkah. She accepted Islam early and emigrated to Abyssinia with her husband Ubaydullah ibn Jahsh, who apostatized there and died, leaving her a widow in a foreign land. The Prophet ﷺ proposed from Madinah, and the Najashi conducted the marriage, paid her mahr and held a great feast, the grandest wedding of the Prophet ﷺ's wives, about a month before Khaybar. When her father visited Madinah in 8 AH, she folded away the Prophet ﷺ's bedding so that he, still an idolater, would not sit on it.
