Anas ibn Malik RA

Anas ibn Malik RA of the Ansar was given by his mother Umm Sulaym RA into the Prophet ﷺ's service at about seven years old and served him for ten years, saying he was never once rebuked. Abu Talhah RA was his stepfather. The Prophet ﷺ prayed for blessing in his life, wealth and children, and he became a prosperous merchant who lived past a hundred and ten. Much of what is known of the Prophet ﷺ's appearance, character and daily life, and many of his miracles, comes through Anas. He witnessed the Prophet ﷺ's last days and described the day of his burial as the darkest of their lives.
