الوليد بن عُتْبة بن ربيعة
Al-Walid ibn Utbah was a young nobleman of the Banu Abd Shams, son of Utbah ibn Rabi'ah and a close friend of al-Abbas, and one of those the Prophet ﷺ invoked Allah against after the camel entrails were thrown on him at the Ka'bah. Before Badr he spread the secret of Atikah's dream through Makkah. At Badr in 2 AH he went out with his father and uncle Shaybah in the opening single combat and was killed by Ali RA. His body was thrown into the well of Badr, where the Prophet ﷺ later called out his name among the dead.
