Abdullah ibn Umar RA

Abdullah ibn Umar RA, son of Umar ibn al-Khattab RA, was one of the great jurists among the Companions, known for following the Prophet ﷺ's example closely. Turned back as too young at Badr and Uhud, he fought his first battle at the Trench at fifteen, and he later fought at Mu'tah and was present at the Conquest of Makkah. He narrated much of the seerah, including the naming of the Farewell Hajj. In the civil strife he was one of the "Abadilah," with Ibn Abbas RA and Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr RA, who refused to fight for either side, and he defended Uthman RA's honour against a Kharijite's accusations.
