حَفْصَة بِنْتُ عُمَر
Hafsah bint Umar RA was a Mother of the Believers and the daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab RA. She emigrated to Abyssinia with her first husband, Khunays ibn Hudhafah RA, a veteran of Badr, and was widowed young in Madinah. After Uthman RA and Abu Bakr RA declined Umar's offers of her hand, the Prophet ﷺ married her. She was entrusted with the compiled copy of the Qur'an, from which Uthman RA had the standard copies made, and she died in Madinah and was buried in Baqi' al-Gharqad.
