While Zayd ibn Harithah RA was still a slave in the household of Muhammad ﷺ, in the days of Jahiliyyah, he married Ummi Ayman RA, who had been the servant of Aminah bint Wahab and was inherited by Muhammad ﷺ after her death.
Ummi Ayman RA was some 10-15 years older than Muhammad ﷺ, so at least 20 years older than Zayd RA. Their marriage joined two of the most trusted members of Muhammad ﷺ's household and produced a son, Usama ibn Zayd RA, who was born and raised in Muhammad ﷺ's own house.
