The burial place of Khadija bint Khuwaylid RA in Makkah, unlike the later wives of the Prophet ﷺ who are buried in Baqi' al-Gharqad in Madinah. Al-Hujun was also where the Quraysh had gathered to sign the pact boycotting Banu Hashim [see episode 18], the worst atrocity the Quraysh committed against the Prophet ﷺ and his clan. After the Conquest of Makkah, finding no house of his own left to him (Abu Talib's house had passed by inheritance to his sons Talib and Aqil, who were not yet Muslim when he died, and Aqil had since sold it) the Prophet ﷺ set up a tent at al-Hujun and lived there for the 19 days he remained in Makkah, praying qasr throughout and delivering the sermons in which he taught the new Muslims the basics of Islam.
Al-Hujun is presented as a sign of Allah's perfect justice: the very valley where the Quraysh once sealed their cruelest pact against the Prophet ﷺ and Banu Hashim became, decades later, the place where he lived as the honored conqueror of Makkah.
