Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas RA

Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas RA was a Companion of the Ansar. After al-Muraysi' in 5 AH, Juwayriyyah bint al-Harith fell to his share of the captives and arranged to buy her freedom from him before the Prophet ﷺ married her. Later that year he sought to repay al-Zubayr ibn Bata of Banu Qurayzah, who had saved his life in the war of Bu'ath, obtaining from the Prophet ﷺ his life, family and wealth, though al-Zubayr chose to die with his people.
