Nawfal ibn al-Harith was a cousin of the Prophet ﷺ, son of al-Harith, the eldest son of Abd al-Muttalib. Captured fighting for the Quraysh at Badr in 2 AH, his ransom was paid by his uncle al-Abbas, and like many of the prisoners of Badr he later accepted Islam, before or immediately after the Conquest of Makkah.
