Zaynab bint Khuzayma al-Hilaliyah RA was a Mother of the Believers from Banu Hilal of Najd, known even before Islam as Umm al-Masakin, the Mother of the Poor. A half-sister of Maymunah RA, she was widowed when Ubaydah ibn al-Harith RA died of his wounds from Badr, and the Prophet ﷺ married her, probably in 3 AH. The marriage lasted only months; she died in 4 AH, one of only two wives to die in his lifetime, and was the first of them buried in Baqi' al-Gharqad.
