This unnamed woman belonged to Banu al-Harith, the clan of Makkah that bought the Companion Khubayb ibn Adi RA after the treachery at al-Raji in 4 AH, in order to execute him in revenge for a kinsman killed at Badr. While he was held prisoner, Khubayb asked for a razor to groom himself before his death. As he sat with the razor in his hand, her small child wandered up to him, and she cried out in fear. Khubayb asked whether she thought he would harm the child, and swore that he never would. She later said, "I have never seen any prisoner more noble than him in his character and manners. And I used to see him tied up, eating from a bunch of grapes, and by Allah, there was no bunch of grapes in Makkah at the time."
