The wife of Ukaydir ibn Abd al-Malik, the Christian chieftain of Dawmat al-Jandal, is not named in the sources. During the Expedition of Tabuk in 9 AH, the Prophet ﷺ sent Khalid ibn al-Walid RA against her husband, foretelling that Khalid would find him away from his men among some cows. One evening Ukaydir's cows came to the palace door and pushed against it all night. She finally told her husband, "You have to stop this." Ukaydir went out himself with a few servants to drive the cows away, and Khalid, arriving with his men, captured him out in the open, exactly as the Prophet ﷺ had said.
