واثلة بن الأسقع الليثي
Wathila ibn al-Asqa' RA was a poor Companion who, lacking a mount for Tabuk in 9 AH, went to the market every day asking to be taken along, finally offering his whole share of the spoils. An elder of the Ansar took him on his camel. When Wathila brought him the camels that were his share, as promised, the old man refused them, saying he had not intended that. The story shows the sincerity of both men.
