Uyaynah ibn Hisn was the chieftain of the Banu Fazarah of Ghatafan, who won the chieftaincy by killing his suffering father at his request, and was one of the leaders of the confederates at the Trench in 5 AH. A coarse Bedouin notorious for his manners, he once walked into the Prophet ﷺ's house without permission, and the Prophet ﷺ called him "the fool who is obeyed among his people." After Hunayn he received a hundred camels to win his heart, and he later became Muslim, but after the Prophet ﷺ's death he joined Tulayhah's false prophethood. Captured in the Wars of Apostasy, he professed Islam again and Abu Bakr RA released him.
