This unnamed young man grazed a flock together with Muhammad ﷺ, years before his prophethood, for Khadija RA's older sister. When they had finished, he said, "Now that we are done, let's go and ask for our wages." The young Muhammad ﷺ asked him to collect his wages for him, since he was too shy to go himself. At the sister's house, Khadija happened to be present, and she asked where Muhammad ﷺ was. The young man answered, "He was too shy to come and ask it from you." Khadija's sister remarked that she had never seen a man more shy, honorable, noble and chaste in his dealings than Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated that this was the first time Khadija heard of him, and hearing of him in this way left an impression on her heart.
