Ummi Anmar was a woman of Makkah who owned the swordsmith Khabbab ibn al-Aratt RA and, when he became Muslim, repeatedly burned his back with his own irons; the Prophet ﷺ prayed for Allah to help him. She soon fell ill and was treated by cauterization with hot irons until she died. Years later Khabbab showed Umar RA the scars she had left.
