This unnamed young man was a servant of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari RA, with him and his wife in the wilderness at his death. As Abu Dharr had foretold from the Prophet ﷺ's words, a caravan came by, and the servant ran out calling for help to bury a Muslim. Ibn Mas'ud RA, among the travellers, wept that the Prophet ﷺ had spoken the truth, and they shrouded and buried Abu Dharr in the desert.
