Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Husayn

Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Husayn was a descendant of the Prophet ﷺ through al-Husayn ibn Ali RA and the father of Ja'far al-Sadiq. He visited the aged, blind Jabir ibn Abdillah RA, who welcomed him warmly as his nephew, and asked him about the Prophet ﷺ's Hajj, drawing out the longest account of the Farewell Hajj, recorded in Sahih Muslim.
