Mas'ud ibn Amr was one of three brothers, with Abd Yalil and Habib, who jointly led Thaqif of Ta'if. When the Prophet ﷺ came to invite them to Islam before the Hijrah, all three mocked him, and he later told Aisha RA that this was the worst treatment he ever received from his people.
