The Woman Who Poisoned the Meal at Khaybar

This unnamed woman of Khaybar lost her husband, uncle and other relatives in the battle of 7 AH and afterwards presented the Prophet ﷺ with a poisoned roasted lamb. The Prophet ﷺ stopped eating after one bite, but Bishr ibn al-Bara RA died from it and the Prophet ﷺ felt its effects for life. She said she wanted revenge for her family. Ibn al-Qayyim reconciled the reports: the Prophet ﷺ forgave her for himself, but she was executed in retaliation for Bishr.
