Ibn Umar then explained each: Allah had forgiven those who fled, Uthman had stayed at the Prophet ﷺ's command to nurse Ruqayyah RA and was counted among the people of Badr, and the Prophet ﷺ had pledged on Uthman's behalf with his own hand.
