جِبْرِيل
Jibril AS is the angel of revelation, the best of the angels, who brought the Qur'an to the Prophet ﷺ, beginning in the cave of Hira. Waraqah ibn Nawfal recognized him as al-Namus who had come to Musa AS. The Prophet ﷺ saw him in his true form, filling the horizon, and in Madinah he often came in the likeness of Dihyah al-Kalbi RA. He accompanied the Prophet ﷺ on al-Isra wal-Mi'raj, fought with the angels at Badr, and reviewed the Qur'an with him every Ramadan, twice in the final year, a sign that his death was near.
