The husband of Umm Ma'bad RA is not named in the sources. The couple were poor Bedouins living in a tent in the desert. During the Hijrah, while he was out searching for food, the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr RA stopped at their tent. The Prophet ﷺ milked the family's old, dry goat, which miraculously filled with milk. The travelers drank their fill and left the rest for Umm Ma'bad and her husband.
When he came home, he was astonished to find milk and asked where it had come from. His wife told him about the two travelers and described the one who had milked the goat. He said, "Those are the two that the Quraysh are hunting. Do you not know one of them claims to be a prophet?" Realizing that such a man must truly be a prophet, he and his wife both accepted Islam.
