The husband of Halimah al-Sa'diyah was a poor man of Banu Sa'd ibn Bakr and the foster father of the Prophet ﷺ. When Halimah found no baby to nurse in Makkah but the orphan the other women had passed over, he told her to take him, saying perhaps Allah would bless them through him, and their household was blessed from that day. He was the father of al-Shayma'. A weaker report says he visited the Prophet ﷺ with Halimah after Hunayn.
