Dihyah al-Kalbi RA was a Companion renowned as the most handsome man in Madinah, in whose form Jibril AS usually came to the Prophet ﷺ; Companions who saw "Dihyah" on a white mule riding ahead to the Banu Qurayzah had seen Jibril. The Prophet ﷺ chose him as envoy to the Byzantine emperor Heraclius, carrying the letter calling him to Islam, and during Tabuk sent him again with a second letter. After Khaybar, Safiyyah bint Huyayy fell to his share of the captives, until the Prophet ﷺ freed and married her.
