This unnamed man was the brother of Amr al-Hadrami, whose killing at Nakhla the Quraysh used to rouse their army at Badr in 2 AH. When Utbah ibn Rabi'ah offered to pay his brother's blood money to avert the battle, Abu Jahl shamed him into refusing, and his impassioned call for vengeance ended the chance of peace.
