Badhan

Badhan was a governor under the Persian Empire, based toward Yemen, whom Khosrow ordered to send men to Madinah to investigate the Prophet ﷺ and bring him back if they could. His two emissaries returned with the Prophet ﷺ's message that his Lord had killed their lord, and news soon came that Khosrow had been overthrown and killed by his son. According to Abu Ubayd al-Qasim ibn Sallam, Badhan then accepted Islam, and the Prophet ﷺ wrote to him about the rules of jizya.
