Ashaj Abd al-Qays RA was the youngest member of his tribe's first delegation to the Prophet ﷺ in 5 AH, a delegation the Prophet ﷺ had praised as the best people of the east. While the others rushed in, he first bathed and dressed well, and the Prophet ﷺ told him he had two qualities Allah loves, forbearance and calm deliberation, implanted in him by Allah. He became a famous Companion.
