أسعد بن زرارة
One of the first six converts from Yathrib; later hosted Mus'ab ibn Umayr RA and held the Prophet ﷺ's hand back at the Second Covenant of Aqaba to warn his people of the risks before they pledged.
As'ad ibn Zurarah RA was a Companion of the Khazraj, a cousin of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh RA, and one of the very first Muslims of Madinah, among the six who met the Prophet ﷺ at Aqabah in the tenth year of prophethood. He hosted Mus'ab ibn Umayr RA in Yathrib, and the first Friday sermon in Islam was given in his house, where Usayd ibn Hudayr RA and Sa'd ibn Mu'adh came to Islam. At the Second Pledge of Aqabah he held back the people's hands to warn them that the pledge meant war with all the Arabs, and they pledged all the same.
