Al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba al-Thaqafi RA

Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah al-Thaqafi RA was a Companion of Thaqif and grandnephew of Urwah ibn Mas'ud RA, a former highway robber who accepted Islam and came to Madinah, where the Prophet ﷺ accepted his Islam but not his stolen wealth. He guarded the Prophet ﷺ at Hudaybiyyah, striking Urwah's hand from his beard, and narrated how the Prophet ﷺ made wudu at Tabuk. After Thaqif accepted Islam in 9 AH he was sent with Abu Sufyan RA to destroy the idol al-Lat, and years later he served as the Muslims' envoy to the last emperor of Persia. He became a prolific narrator of hadith.
